Yew Bowl, 30cm/ 12 inch
A stunning one of a kind Yew Bowl, turned from an old tree that had to be felled. Yew always has a fantastic character but this piece is next level! This was right out of the middle of a very complex crotch piece, so has loads of bark inclusions and amazing grain patterns .
I found 2 old nails in this piece - all part of history. They were deep in the tree, which used to stand at the gate of an old Rectory. One nail still remains, the other was removed and the small voids filled with purple resin.

Clean only by wiping with a damp cloth. Can be re-oiled in the future if needed. Refer to care section of website.
